Soul Fantasy is a new literary genre that explores the consequences of the existence of a soul or spirit independent from the body that contains them in science fiction stories.
It presents books that explore different types of possible reincarnation, in human, animal, robot. Others explain the links between science and witchcraft, for example after the collapse of a technological civilization, or present wars between bodiless spirits and human beings.
Some show how a restrained wounded soldier whose mind can move without his body can use it to seek help.
Others show how factories make human bodies into soldiers by inserting into them the souls of soldiers killed during a war.
Some books present how intergalactic civilizations can exist through means of communication such as gates that allow travel in space, or even time. They can also explain how genetic manipulation may have led to the creation of hybrids of humans and animals that would have been better adapted to survive on planets with a climate not suitable for humans, but which had interesting mineral resources. Some present a planet where live herds of soulless human beings who serve as food for vampires. Others present the memories of people who survived a temporary death or explain the origin of heaven, hell, purgatory and some legends.
This literary genre proposes a reunification of material science and the notion of the soul, which exists independently of the body.
